What's Open: The former Records Office is architecturally significant as a last grand statement in the French Second Empire style of a city aspiring to the grandeur of European cities. The main staircase of the building is open, allowing access from the ground floor through the first floor to the second floor. Visitors then exit through the building, via the elevator, to the courtyard and out to Little Lonsdale Street.
